Stags Win: Samuel Telepathically Commits

Stags Win!

Final score of DeMatha vs Chaminade in the 2014 National High School Hoops Festival.

You don’t normally think that a baby of three weeks is ready to commit to a high school so early in his life, but my son Samuel is really serious and has signed a contract.  We had a long talk before we started watching DeMatha win against Chaminade (MO) in the National High School Hoops Festival held at my alma mater -soon to be his, when he let the world know his intentions.

Samuel shocked both me and his mother by making a deal for more breast milk so that he could stay up to watch the game streaming all the way from Jerez, Spain.  That’s when he let us both know that it was time to call Head Coach Mike Jones and tell him to look out for Samuel in the DeMatha Catholic High School class of 2033.  (Obviously, Samuel can’t talk but he was able to make his commitment telepathically -which is on the same level as a verbal commitment for top recruits.)  Samuel hopes to get even more breast milk out his mother so that he can grow big and strong and make good on his promise.

Normally, DeMatha doesn’t take commitments from kids this early but his daddy is a hardcore Stag and nobody can stop the brotherhood.
