DeMatha Basketball Rolls Into The Holidays

December 24, 2017

Winter has finally come and we have all been anticipating another DeMatha Basketball campaign for a WCAC championship and national recognition.  In case you haven’t been paying attention, let’s catch up on the season ongoings with a video compilation from Marc Stern over there at YouTube holding down the DMV called Capitol Hoops.

This is our go-to website for highlights during the basketball season -as per usual, but if you are looking for live coverage of the games be sure to check out DeMatha Stags TV on the NFHS Network.  There are also replays of the games on demand so please support DeMatha Catholic High School for Boys student journalism and enjoy!  The DeMatha -Stags basketball team is currently undefeated (7-0) heading into the star-studded Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their annual holiday tournament.

After all of those home victories, the Stags took all of that positive momentum on the road to Saint Johns College and the results were more or less the same.

Get the full DeMatha Stags basketball schedule right here on the team website.  Read about the latest over at Inside The Locker Room.  We will be sure to have more information on the Stags at a later date but you can already tell that DeMatha has some really good basketball players.

We’ll keep you posted here on The Chronicles of Six.  Go Stags!

DeMatha Basketball 2017 Hype Video

December 6, 2017

We don’t know if you have been following but we are huge fans of DeMatha Catholic High School for Boys on this website.  Andre Jones, Class of 1987, is also a huge fan and his production company produced a video that should get you hype for the season opener in under an hour.  Check the #MadisonStreetHoops feeds on Twitter and Instagram in 2017.  We’ll get into all the rankings and player previews at a later date so watch the video.

We agree with Head Coach Mike Jones in that this is a team that the Coach Emeritus can be proud of.  DeMatha basketball makes us think of Morgan Wootten, also.  Both the old and the new coaches in Hyattsville have a knack for making student-athletes believers.  You can see for yourself that, once again, the Stags have a ton of talent with the right kind of leadership.  Watch the game for free on DM Stags TV because Neal Murphy and Sean O’Connor are broadcasting the opener.  (Linked below)  As usual, we will keep you posted here on The Chronicles of Six.
