Today is the Feast Day of St. John de Matha. Pray for us.

Just like clockwork the Feast Day of Saint John de Matha ushers in the holidays.  Well I don’t know about you folks, but I have really caught the Christmas spirit.  There is just something about this season that makes me feel better.  Also it helps to have Black Jesus on your side.

I hope that everyone out there is feeling a little bit of the love, also.  If I don’t get a chance to tell you in person, Merry Christmas!  I thought it would be pretty cool to share a little bit of Christmas with you.  It is only fitting that it is coming from the halls that I used to roam on this special day.

Live caroling in the hallways…

Christmas Season Jerez 2016

December 7, 2016

Also, you might want to head to Europe to see Black Jesus because the USA doesn’t have any.  Just the other day the jury responsible for determining the guilt of Walter Scott‘s killer was deadlocked in a mistrial.  Apparently, Black Jesus isn’t going to save anybody in South Carolina any time soon and there is still no semblance of justice.  Click on the link for Exhibit A.  I get the feeling that there are going to be a lot more martyrs for the Black Lives Matter movement to proselytize.

Enjoy my family video to help take your mind away from all the madness.  There will be no Christmas cards this year because we are terrifically poor, but at least they aren’t filming Black death on the streets and allowing the murderer to go free.  Check out an article here in ColorLines by Kenya Rankin about the mistrial of Michael Slager. Yeah, so then there’s that.  Merry Christmas everyone.

So You Want to Know What it’s Like?

December 6, 2014

I present to you what a Saturday night is like in Jerez, España.  I suppose that it is worth mentioning that as the world gears up for the season of Christmas and other holidays we should do well to remember what they are really all about.  Love!  Family!  Sharing!  Caring!

All of that good stuff.  I wrote on another site that I’ve been ready for this all my life.  I wasn’t kidding.  It’s funny how something so small can make all the despair in the world disappear.  I mean to reinforce that the world is full of despair, too.

I don’t have all the answers but I am certainly happier and more optimistic than I was a month ago.  And that is really saying something because they are killing black men in the streets with impunity and I just brought another one into the world.
